Alain is a young man of average height, and has a slightly pinkish skin tone and dark turquoise eyes. He has long brown wavy hair that is slightly tousled and mostly combed back, with some hair hanging in front as a fringe. His outfit consists of a white fisherman-knit sweater with cable knit and diamond patterns, with a blue shirt underneath, striped maroon trousers and brown boots.

However, it would be quite embarrassing for me if you read this letter during a rainstorm on Sapphire Island.

You're always grateful when things go your way, and determined when they don't.
You often say you're encouraged by my optimism and perseverance with painting.
I'll let you in on a secret. There have been times when I've felt discouraged, but seeing you hard at work motivates me to keep going. I need to get better if I want to be someone worthy of walking alongside you in the future.
Nowadays, people are getting less interested in talking about superficial things like dreams.
I am willing to work hard with you so we can achieve a reality created by your scissors and my paintbrushes.

Like a mother's love for her child, or your love for designing ladies' pants. Even logic-driven people like mathematicians cannot use reason to explain their obsession with numbers.
You mentioned summer is your favorite season because that's when the world is full of vibrancy and life.
Perhaps that's why I've fallen in love with summer as well.
I've thought about this for quite some time, but I can't think of a reason why I love you.

Before the Story

As the son of one of the more prominent figures in the legal profession, Alain had studied law, likely expected to follow in his father's footsteps. However, having dreamt of becoming an artist, he refused to join his father's law firm, instead dropping law completely in favor of pursuing art. To support himself and his dream, he started working part-time at a restaurant in Star City.

When Marguerite and Isadora first moved to Star City, the former turned out to his neighbor, and the three of them have been acquainted since.
