Letters[]
First Letter
Miss Colvin
Are you surprised to hear from me?
Don't worry, I'm not here to complain about the interview we did a couple days ago. In fact, that was the most comfortable interview I've ever experienced. Even my father was surprised at how well I presented myself. Perhaps we were able to understand each other as we're both women. I never knew an interview could be so special.
This is why I've invited you to the alumni ball upon learning that you too, graduated from Imperial University. I really hope an outstanding alumnus like you will be noticed by more people. There'll be a surprise in store if I see you then! Guess who I'll introduce you to?
Charlotte Harris
Second Letter
Colvin
I bet you aren't surprised by my letter after last time, eh?
I've something to tell you this time. We haven't met up since the alumni ball, but Prosecutor Boseman tells me she really admires your conviction and courage as a reporter. Actually, I wanted to invite you to dinner to chat about Prosecutor Boseman. Sadly, we won't be able to meet anytime soon, as I've been preparing my upcoming flights. Staying at cottages at the foot of the Andes Mountains and enjoying the first rays of dawn every morning, it's been my childhood dream. However, I've been feeling anxious lately. The practice data shows that I'm not yet capable of a solo flight to the Andes Mountains.
Perhaps it's this rare feeling of defeat that made me pen this letter to you. But I believe this feeling won't last. After all, I'm Charlotte Harris! I will fulfill my childhood dreams!
Looking forward to your reply
Charlotte
Third Letter
Dear Elizabeth
You might be surprised at my insistence on writing letters, despite having already exchanged telephone numbers with you. Some things are more easily communicated through the written word.
I've been dreaming about the past lately. In these dreams, I'm still studying at Imperial University. My professors' reluctance did not extinguish my determination and will to attend flying practice. On my way there, I'd pass by your class, brushing by you. You'd be carrying your camera, intent on capturing every interesting moment, without even knowing you'd become part of the scenery yourself...
A little part of me regrets not knowing you back then, to witness your growth, from a fresh young amateur to where you are now. Nevertheless, I'm lucky that we're friends now.
Do you remember when I said I wanted you to sit beside me as I fly? I still feels the same way... and my next flight is soon. Will you be ready this time?
Your dear friend
