Letters[]
First Letter
Dear Lady Ellen,
It was a pleasure to meet you this evening.
I hope I was not too presumptuous earlier. If my words offended you, I sincerely apologize. You made such an impression on me that I may have been a little too eager to make your acquaintance. I truly hope you'll consider my offer to work together, but I don't mean to rush your answer, and I would of course understand any decision you choose to make.
Until then, may the evening's stars guide your way and keep watch over you throughout the night.
The merchant you met at The Creaky Accordion
Second Letter
Greetings and good tidings, Lady Ellen,
How was your journey home? Sunrest Keep is as lively as ever, but it isn't the same without you.
When we parted, I heard that you were going to the capital. I rarely get to go there, since I'm usually tied up doing business between Millow and Sunrest Keep. So if you see any good deals, write to your old partner, won't you?
Christian
Third Letter
Dear Ellen,
Of course, I'll be there, just as you requested in your last letter. It's the least I could do after all you've done for me.
I wasn't sure if I'd hear from you again, so I was ever so pleased to receive a letter from you. I've been thinking a lot since the last time I saw you, so I might as well take this opportunity to tell you some things I didn't get a chance to say before.
You're unlike anyone I've ever met. Like a steady flame, you light people's bonfires, keeping them warm and illuminating their way forward through the darkness. How is it that you're so confident and unwavering? Have you never doubted what you believe?
I used to think our destiny was laid out for us, like the lines on the palm of your hand. But you said that our destiny is always up to us, and the choices we make are our own. Why is it that some of us have to spend so long carefully weighing the consequences of every potential action, while others find their balance effortlessly?
There are so many more questions I want to ask you. But I'll save them for now, knowing I'll see you again very soon.
