As the owner and publisher of the Gotham Times, he aims to pursue and present only the truth with the papers. However, as these do not fall in line with society's norms of news reporting, Gotham Times has constantly suffered from poor sales. His constant investments and purchasing of the Gotham Times papers in bulk have played a large role in allowing the company to stay afloat till the present day.
