I hope you will forgive me for taking the liberty of writing to you. I'm sure you have already learned my true identity, but please believe that I did not intend to deceive you. There were unavoidable factors, which I cannot explain in full here. Perhaps when the time is ripe, I will find the opportunity to tell you in person.
Truth to be told, I find you very mysterious. You always seem to be at odds with everything in the palace: you are humble, beautiful, as pure as the waves, and yet as deep as the ocean. I sense sorrow in your gestures and your expressions, as if you’re always troubled by something. I often wonder who you really are, where you come from, and what you want to do. The answer seems almost visible, and yet not legible.
You are a good person, so I can't help but remind you of the treachery and hidden darkness in this place of glory and gold. Perhaps there is something you must accomplish. No matter what, I wish you good luck, and hope that you will be successful in whatever you do.

This is my third attempt at writing this letter. It is the heaviest letter I have ever written. I am sorry I dropped your pet by accident. It didn’t get hurt, but I still feel bad about it. At first, I wanted to go visit in person, but my work binds me to my desk. When I think back to the day I purchased it at the market, it was so incredibly lively. I swear I’ve never seen such an energetic hermit crab. I truly got quite a shock. Next time, if there is a next time, I will hold it firmly, just like the way I hold onto Azurnon's Trident. And if that doesn’t work, I’ll buy some food for it as an apology. I seem to remember you saying that it loves wine best. How... special for a pet. Well, I still have some fine wine from Evanstor, so I’ll bring some over in two days. It might not like it, but you’ll like it, I’m sure. Please don’t reject my apology.

Dear Ondine
How are you? I've been busy with Council matters lately, and it's such a huge distraction. I haven't been ignoring you on purpose. Sometimes, I visit the palace garden, hoping to see you, but I'm never lucky enough to find you.
The festival is drawing near, and I'm not sure if you've noticed, but the atmosphere in the Atlan palace is becoming so quiet, it's bizarre. Perhaps all the shady plotting in the palace is about to explode. When that happens, there will be consequences, be it destruction or survival. Beware the people around you. They... I have no concrete proof, but I must warn you to keep your defenses up. No one can guess what's happening in the shadows here.
We met with different missions to carry out, but after going through so much together, I believe we are bound by destiny now. Let us strive bravely forwards, dear Ondine. I shall remain by your side always!
