Sea of Memories is an event where Travelers can share messages across space and time to each other. This event started from Warmth of Lingering Embers Reading Week event. Notably, this is the first event where the Astral Dust was made available, where players can dig for various memory capsules from the Companions of the book and obtain additional rewards.

As part of Fort Hawke Correspondence, the event ran from April 6th to April 18th, 2025.

Rules[]

  • Message Bubble
    • Share Your Thoughts: Travelers can write a message, create a Message Bubble, and share it with a tap of a button. The Message Bubble will be placed in the Sea of Memories. Travelers can choose to share their messages anonymously.
  • Bubble Memory
    • Retrieve: Tap to retrieve a random bubble written by other Travelers. After reading, Travelers can choose to return the bubble to the Sea of Memories or reply to it.
  • Time Capsule
    • Edit and Stash: The Time Capsule allows messages to transcend time and space. After editing a Message Bubble in a Time Capsule, Travelers can stash it anywhere in an unlocked story where other Travelers will have a chance to find it.
  • Bubble Reply
    • Reply: When you see a message that interests you, you can send a reply. Travelers can choose to send their replies anonymously.
    • Records: After replying, the message will appear in the message list of both parties and can be viewed at any time.
  • Civil Communication
    • Appropriate Language: Please refrain from using any offensive or insulting language.
    • Report: If you receive any harassing, bullying, or threatening messages, you can report the bubble and its content. Serious actions will be taken by the platform.
  • Rewards
    • Mysterious Reward: You will get a mysterious reward when your bubble receives the first reply from a unique Traveler. Up to five of these rewards can be received each day.
    • Companion Mystery Gift: Collect all Astral Dust of a Companion's memory to get their friendship gift.

Gameplay[]

Each day, Travelers can do the following per day:

  • Send up to 10 Message Bubbles
  • Read up to 10 Message Bubbles from other Travelers
  • Send up to 5 Message Bubbles as Time Capsules in any spot of the story map

The above limits will be reset daily, and players will be able to send more messages upon the daily reset. Note, however, that no rewards are usually given for doing so.

When either sending or reading a message, Travelers can choose to send their message, or reply to another Traveler's message anonymously, or with their profile displayed. After replying to a Message Bubble, the conversation history will also be recorded, and can be viewed at any time via the event interface for the remaining duration of the event.

If a Traveler receives a reply to their message, they will obtain the following rewards:

  • 1 random gift material
  • A random amount of Diamonds

A maximum of five such rewards can only be obtained from receiving replies from other Travelers.

Astral Dust[]

Travelers can obtain complete past memories of their Companions by collecting various memory fragments (hereby known as Astral Glow) and condensing them into Astral Dust. Astral Glows can be obtained via the following:

  • Exploring story stage maps
  • Digging for Time Capsules
  • Gifts from friends.

Note that there is a chance to obtain duplicate copies of an already obtained Astral Glow from the map. In this case, players can choose to gift their leftover Astral Glow fragments to a friend. Collecting all Astral Dusts from a particular Companion will grant additional rewards.

"I used to overthink everything, but now all I think about is you, Dahlia."
Olive: Astral Dust 1

1 It was a clean little village. Olive peeked out from the carriage, taking in the scenery.
2 This was her third time traveling as a merchant. Sunlight filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the cobblestone street. After haggling with the driver, Olive changed into a simple, elegant outfit of gray and white homespun.
3 She hopped down from the carriage at just the right moment, melting into the bustling market.
4 "This fabric is gorgeous, where did you get it?" she asked with a smile, running her fingers over a brightly colored piece. The vendor's face lit up, and he launched into a lively story about its origins.
5 Olive listened attentively, occasionally adding a comment about how she couldn't wait to replace her current clothes with it. Her well-timed compliments made the vendor even more enthusiastic. She knew building trust was the key to any good deal.
6 Olive was sharp and sociable, and her little business was booming. Her reputation was spreading through the town.
7 To avoid being recognized, she had to keep moving, changing her base of operations frequently.
Olive: Astral Dust 2
Astral Glow No. Contents
1 As soon as she started to get known around town, she'd pack up and leave, saying goodbye to the people she'd worked so hard to connect with.
2 There was a touch of sadness in her farewell smile, but she knew deep down it was just part of the job.
3 At first, leaving was really tough. She'd lie awake at night, thinking about everyone she'd met, until their faces started to fade from her memory.
4 Eventually, she learned to see it as just another part of her work, a necessary sacrifice for the bigger picture.
5 Little by little, she became numb to it, and those genuine feelings started to feel less and less real with each goodbye.
6 Whether it was talent or just experience, she was always able to make friends quickly in new towns, winning over customers with her honesty and knowledge. Everything seemed to be going well, but was it really?
Olive: Astral Dust 3
Astral Glow No. Contents
1 Olive is like a window opened in the mist, radiating warmth that draws one near, yet it is made clear that one cannot stay for long.
2 On rare occasions, Olive would come across a few familiar faces, but it seemed she had lost the ability to exchange sincerity with sincerity. These relationships felt like fleeting shadows on the wall, unable to truly take root.
3 But Olive couldn't relinquish this identity that symbolized "freedom" to her, even if she would suddenly realize at some point—that something wrong was growing, yet she lacked the courage to delve deeper.
4 As night fell, Olive would sit by the window, gazing at the gradually fading streets outside. Occasionally, she would greet some girls passing by under the windowsill, offering them some candy. Beyond that, she would do nothing more.
5 She was completely immersed in the role-play, unable to extricate herself.
6 But she knew, deep within her heart, there always existed a vague awareness, a sense that she was pursuing something, yet it always remained just out of reach.
7 She could only wait, wait for someone as adrift as herself, certain that like-minded souls are drawn together by fate. When she was Olive, she stubbornly, perhaps naively, trusted in fate’s design. They would meet in time... wouldn’t they?

'I hope you don't find my past too dull, and I'm grateful that you're still willing to learn about it."
Duke Cyrus: Astral Dust 1

1 Duke Cyrus is in an extremely foul mood today, and the attendant kneeling on the ground is trembling, not daring to lift his head.
2 The Duke has always had a good temper, and the rare occasions of a cold expression were mostly to establish authority when outside. What on earth happened?
3 The attendant bowed his head, recalling the events concerning his master over the past few days. Aside from the recurrence of old injuries and a high fever triggered by the cold, there had been no other noteworthy incidents.
4 Could it indeed be that this illness was so severe that it affected the mood of the usually strong and fearless Duke? The attendant's head is still lowered, waiting for his master to speak.
5 "My lord, as per your request, I have secretly brought the physician who treated you to the manor." The attendant was puzzled as to why the master had ordered him to act only after the apothecary had ceased its daily operations. If this young physician's skills were inadequate and needed punishment, the master had the authority to summon her directly to the manor for judgment, without going through such trouble.
6 Worried about alerting the enemy? But this physician... does not seem to have the ability to fight the master at all.

1 The attendant unlocked the door, waited for Duke Cyrus to enter, locked the room again, and then covered his ears.
2 Although he was curious about his master's intentions, having grown up by Duke Cyrus' side, he knew the rules—do not listen, do not look, do not ask.
Only Duke Cyrus and the physician remained in the room.
3 Duke Cyrus glanced at the young physician who kept stealing looks at him out of the corner of his eye, and he understood everything. That day, the Duke and the physician made a deal known only to the two of them—a long-term deal. Afterward, the physician was safely escorted home by the servants.
4 "You should let me clean and dress your wound, not just prescribe oral medication." The physician had visited the Duke's residence many times, and each visit left her visibly displeased. She glared stubbornly at the revered Duke Cyrus lying on the bed, waiting for him to change his mind, but Duke Cyrus still refused.
5 "Since that's the case, you need not call me over next time. There are only a few types of oral medicine that can suppress wound deterioration and strengthen the body. My apothecary has other patients to attend to..."
6 "You must come, and you must be available at a moment's notice. That was our agreement that day."
"..." The atmosphere between the two seemed like crossing swords, but the physician ultimately fell silent.
7 Duke Cyrus sighed and handed a letter to the physician, "More than tending to my wounds, I need you to deliver this."

1 After that, the young physician still visited the manor "secretly" from time to time. She never entered through the main gate, as Duke Cyrus had opened a special path for her, much like... how the physician had also opened many previously impassable paths for the Duke.
2 "Thank you for everything you've done. If there's anything you need, the Duke's residence..."
"We've been collaborating for a while now, yet the Duke still insists on such formalities?" The physician's appearance has matured, but her temper remains the same.
3 "I am a physician, and I dare not accept the favors of you politicians. You and Prince Derick are the same; if I accept something from you, I will always have to repay more. I help you solely out of my own conscience, and I do not wish to go against myself."
4 Duke Cyrus stared at the physician before him—he still couldn't fully trust her, but the tension between them was gradually easing.
5 "Are you going to refuse this? Your apothecary is due for some repairs, and healing the sick is your true calling, isn't it?"
"What? Apothecary? Well... let me think about it."
6 Two years later, in the dead of night, the entire city of Leto had fallen into slumber. The sudden clatter of hooves echoed through the streets, rousing a watchdog from its vigil in some households. After a brief howl, silence reclaimed the night. With a gentle tug on the reins, the horse came to a halt before the apothecary's door.
7 "Respected Duke Cyrus, I knew it was you as soon as I heard the commotion. What brings you here at this hour? Have you injured yourself again?"
"My back. Vanessa, take care of it before dawn."

1 "Hey! Look at those ears, he's a half-beast, a mongrel!"
The first time Aaron was cursed like this, he didn't understand what the word "mongrel" meant.
2 His intuition told him that the group of children surrounding him, who were about his height, suddenly became filled with hostility towards him. And all he had done was accidentally knock his hat off during a ball game they were playing together.
3 A few minutes later, clutching his injured and swollen shoulder, he picked up the nearly destroyed hat from the mud pit. Aaron had always been a fast runner, and the human children he played with couldn't catch up with him.
4 When Aaron ran back home, he didn't even feel out of breath, but it seemed as though something strange was clogging his heart. He felt inexplicably uneasy until a pair of rough yet warm hands gently touched his furry little head.
5 "I'm sorry, grandmother, I... I forgot what you said."
"Aaron, my dear, this is absolutely not your fault."
"Then whose fault is it?"
"Perhaps no one is at fault, or perhaps everyone is at fault."
6 Aaron couldn't understand the tongue twister at all; the six-year-old only wanted to know who was at fault. Grandmother quickly mended the hat, and the bruise on Aaron's shoulder healed swiftly under her care.
7 But some things are destined to remain irreparable, and this thorn is ultimately deeply stuck in Aaron's heart.

1 Since he couldn't discern right from wrong, Aaron had no choice but to heed his grandmother's advice and choose to steer clear of the conflict. However, the children wouldn't let him off the hook, and the news of him being a half-beast spread throughout the small town.
2 So on this night, grandmother began packing her belongings once again, with Aaron helping by her side, just as they had done countless times before.
3 Aaron walked on the road outside the town, carrying luggage almost half his size. Passing travelers praised his strength. He scratched his hidden beast ears beneath his hat, his heart filled with confusion.
4 "Why is it that the savagery and violence usually scolded are praised when my beast ears are hidden?" Aaron tilted his head to ask, but his grandmother didn't respond to any of it, only saying they had to reach the next destination before sunset.
5 "Aaron, this is our new home, remember to..."
"Remember to wear your hat, gloves, and shoes, don't let the long sleeves and pants get torn, don't let them see how I'm different from them." They arrived at the new village, but Aaron heard the same words again.
6 To save on living expenses, the new home had no oil lamps. Aaron's vision and hearing, inherited from his beast lineage, allowed him to see his grandmother shedding tears in the night and hear her suppressed sobs.
7 He wondered if he had done something wrong again.

1 At the age of fourteen, Aaron finally formed his own judgment about who was right and who was wrong.
2 Aaron's grandmother died, succumbing to an illness brought on by poverty. Aaron trembled as he counted the wrongs: poverty was at fault, the disease was at fault, the coarse grains that couldn't provide proper nutrition were at fault, his own helplessness was at fault, and the neighbors who showed no sympathy for his grandmother's plight were at fault.
3 Except for my grandmother, all humans are at fault. They're at fault for everything!
4 His grandmother's existence gave Aaron a home, like a rope, tightly binding the growth of hatred in Aaron's heart. Now that the rope is broken, another rope begins to wrap around Aaron.
5 Where should he go from here? Will there be trustworthy companions on his journey? And will there be someone who tirelessly unties the ropes for him?
6 Aaron didn't know that after burying his grandmother, he would have to leave this town, to go... to go to the next place, unfamiliar yet the same...
