It's my first time writing to you, and I'm finding it harder than I expected. It's odd, because I can't stop talking when I see you in school, but words fail me when I try to pen them down. Who are you? Why have you come to Gillikin? What are you really searching for? Do you suppose we've met before in another life, or something like that? I have so many unanswered questions, but I have to run to class. Ah, if only I had wings!

Second Letter
I know I struggled to write to you in my last letter, but I think I'm getting into the swing of things. There's something about writing letters that makes you feel like disclosing secrets. Letters are as powerful as they are dangerous, aren't they? Let me tell you a secret about myself. Everyone knows my family and my father, but not many know of my brother. He was an excellent agent, a perfect son, and the best brother you could ever ask for. I never once felt burdened by the Beaumont family name when he was still alive, because he took it all on himself. He gave me the gift of freedom, the chance to live my own life. I was carefree and happy for many years, until he died. It was like all the light had gone out of my world. Forgive me for not going into the details right now. Letter writing is strange, isn't it? It closes the distance between us. You're reading this, aren't you? I hope you are, because I would love to write to you more.

Salutations,
It's been a while since I wrote to you. Funny that I should get into the habit of writing; I never much considered myself a writer. There's so much I want to tell you, but it seems I can only really express myself in writing, when we're apart. Maybe it's because I want you to know that I think of you all the time.
What are you doing now? Are you watching the night sky, lost in thought?
It comforts me somewhat to know that we're both looking at the same sky and stars at night, wherever we might be. Even when I'm alone, you make me feel grounded. I feel connected to this world and to you, despite being miles apart. I miss watching the falling leaves on Gillikin Academy's campus, and I miss you. One day, I'd love to bring you on a tour of the surrounding islands so we can take in the beautiful sights together.
