Letters[]
First Letter
Elizabeth Colvin
Greetings, Colvin. This is George Kane, the editor-in-chief of the Gotham Times. Welcome to the company. Please don't be surprised. It's a tradition of mine to write a letter to every new employee.
After your interview, I looked at some of the articles you previously wrote. The content was expressed clearly, the language was accurate, and the article was generally unbiased and objective. I'm sure you will become an excellent reporter if you continue to work hard. I understand you were fired by the Sun News because of an article you wrote. Don't worry, I personally disapprove of the Sun News' exaggerated style of writing. If you want to write factual and objective news reports, the Gotham Times is your best choice.
Feel free to consult me if you have any queries. I will also ask our fellow colleagues to help you settle into your new environment.

Second Letter
Elizabeth Colvin
Colvin, you've been at the paper for awhile now. Just as I thought, you're a hardworking reporter who's worth nurturing. The article you wrote on the "Tower Wars" blended objectively and freshness. It was a laudable piece of writing that expanded the Gotham Times' readership. I trust you've earned praise from your colleagues, Davis in particular.
However, I've been choosing the topics you write on. Moving forward, I think you should find and unearth your own leads. Just seek my approval before embarking on a story. I have high hopes for you, so keep working hard.
By the way, I have some records in my office. You can borrow them if you're interested. They'll help you unwind.

Third Letter
Elizabeth Colvin
Time sure flies... you've become a professional reporter now. As the Editor-in-Chief, I've been monitoring your growth. I'm starting to feel your fighting spirit, your unrelenting pursuit for the truth, and even the trials and difficulties you've faced are similar to what I went through when I was younger. In fact, I see my younger self in you...
In your letter, you mentioned these cliches are way past their prime. I can't help but look back fondly on those times. I'm sure you know it was Davis who gave me the position of Editor-in-Chief. Other than work, I check out the races at the turf club, and sometimes bet on the dark horse. I believe they'll be able to surpass expectations and bask in the glory they deserve one day.
As you know Colvin, effort does not always mean reward, but with your determination and courage, you might be able to break the mold.
