Lovecraft, the Merchant
Lovecraft's Shop is available in the Boutique. It unlocks once you have achieved Player Level 9.
Every 3 hours, Lovecraft will set up new trading options. You can exchange specific clothing for crafting materials, gift materials, potions to upgrade relics, Fashion Lab upgrade items, and clothing items limited to Lovecraft's Shop. The exchange costs 200 
.
If you trade your last piece of clothing away to Lovecraft, it will still be in your wardrobe for you to wear, but not in your bag. So, if the specific clothing you traded is required to craft another one, you will have to craft it again to use as ingredient.
Lovecraft may ask for:
- 10 pieces of any clothing
- 10 pieces of clothing with a specific story tag
- 8 pieces of clothing with a specific style tag
- 8 pieces of clothing with a rarity rating from 1-4
- 6 pieces of clothing with a rarity of 5
- 5 pieces of clothing with a rarity of 6

Note that rarity is calculated by comparing one clothing item to another in terms of how likely it is to show up when you get a trade for clothes in Lovecraft. Overall, it is very rare to get a clothing item show up to trade for.

Trading Tips[]
If you are curious about what a "good trade" is, here is some general advice. Do not feel you have to follow these tips.
- DO NOT TRADE PARTIALLY ALTERED CLOTHING, SOCIETY CLOTHING AND CRAFTED ITEMS REQUIRED FOR CRAFTING OTHER CLOTHING, OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE THEM AGAIN!
- Save your 5 and 6 star clothing for Lovecraft's exclusive clothing items. It is more common to be offered clothing in exchange for high-rarity items. There is currently no other use for these high level pieces as they are not used for crafting.
- It's generally worth it to trade 8 encounters clothes for 8 pieces of clothing crafting materials. The price is low enough that recycling clothing you don't need is worth the price.
- It's an... okay deal to trade 10 pieces of clothing that you get from Encounters for 8 pieces of clothing crafting materials, but obviously not as good as the the previous example. Only do this if you really want a specific material.
- Trading 8 pieces of 4-star clothing for 12 clothing materials is generally not considered worth it, unless you have lots of 4-stars or really need that material. It's better to save 4-star clothing for Lovecraft exclusives.
- If you need 4-star clothing to trade in a hurry, Sylvan Glade is the cheapest 4-star item to make.
- Cuddle Potions - the lowest experience items for upgrading relics - are generally not worth trading for. The higher level potions may be worth trading low-level clothing for.
- Sketchbooks - items used to upgrade your Fashion Lab - are required at a higher volume than Drawing Pencils the vast majority of the time. You may want to hold off on trading for Sketchbooks until you have reached the second tier of Fashion Lab upgrades - by this point, you will have a better understanding of the value of the items you are trading. Pencils are generally not worth trading for, unless you are in the latter levels of Fashion Lab upgrades, particularly the brutal Dunhuang level.
- Gift materials are generally not worth trading for, unless you really need them.
- Before trading with Lovecraft, you should look through the various story guides and learn what clothing is required/recommended and what it costs to craft them. Some required pieces use a lot of the clothing you get from encounters.
- If you are offered to trade 1-3 star items for a 5 or 6 star item, you should get it even if you don't like it or it's a duplicate. Having high rarity items to trade with is very useful.
Note: If you see a rare or ultra rare item in Lovecraft, and you do not have it already, it is advised to trade for it even if the trade does not adhere to the rules of thumb as described above.
