Masaya Hino is the second son of a Kazoku family but he doesn't have any airs at all. As a soldier, he is sharp and decisive at work - a perfect man in the eyes of others. However, Masaya falters in his own personal affairs, often wavering between decisions. He treats everyone respectfully as he yearns for everyone to be on equal standing.

Masaya has a tall build, with dark brown eyes and black hair swept to the side. As a soldier, his uniform is primarily black trimmed with yellow, and decorated with gold buttons. His sleeve cuffs and epaulettes are made of red fabric trimmed with yellow, with elaborate patterning sewn in yellow on them. On his side, he holds a matching katana with a black sheath, with its handle wrapped in white cloth and decorated with yellow metal, and a yellow tassel hangs from the handle.

The times spend chatting with you are also relaxing and delightful. We seem to have endless things to talk about, and all troubles are forgotten when we do. Although I know almost nothing about you, there's a strange sense of familiarity. I wonder if you feel the same?
Perhaps you're looking up at the same sky and moon as I write this letter. I feel comforted, knowing I have someone to share such a scenic view with on this long night.

Whenever I hear the birds chirping in the morning, I think of your hearty laughter and unfettered demeanor. Like me, you shoulder a heavy responsibility but it doesn't appear to trouble you. You're like a bird, flying past obstacles and soaring freely with the wind. I hope one day, I'll be as strong and as brave as you.

How do I say this... Well, I dreamt of you last night. Ah, please don't misunderstand. I don't mean to be rude. In my dream, your courage left a deep impression on me. There were many obstacles, but you made nothing of them and marched forth determinedly towards the distant goal. You were awe-striking and I ran after you, trying to keep up. I can't remember if I caught up to you.
Kind as you are, you may think of stopping to wait for me, but please don't. Just do what you want to do. Whether it's in a dream or real life, I will work hard to spur myself on until I'm on par with you.
