  • The sun rose and set in silence. There has been no sign of the kind of storm the crew warned me about, and no sign of the island either.
  • It is our fourth day at sea. Thick clouds obscure the early morning light, and the sea seems endless.
  • At breakfast, I find Sinbad and the First Mate planning something in the galley.
  • Sinbad: You haven't found anything yet? Have you released the crows?
  • First Mate: Yes. They circled upwards for a bit, and then returned to their cages without flying anywhere.
  • You: Crows? I didn't know crows could help with sailing...
  • Sinbad: Crows are a sailor's eyes in the sky. Don't underestimate them.
  • First Mate: When they are released and a ship is far from land, they just fly aimlessly around the ship.
  • First Mate: If the ship is near land, the crows will fly in a specific direction.
  • You: A specific direction? So the crows fly toward the land?
  • Sinbad: You catch on quick...
  • Sinbad: Unfortunately, they didn't find a coastline for us today.
  • Sinbad shrugs, and continues studying the map with the First Mate.
  • A crow descends and perches on the side of the boat. I creep towards it and gently touch its feathers.
  • You: (Thank you for helping us find our way!)
  • While playing with the crow, I hear a familiar melody behind me.
  • I return to the galley and see that Sinbad has put down the map. He is examining the black conch.
  • Sinbad: Gina, I've been thinking about what you said regarding the conch. It really does play music!
  • Sinbad: It's amazing that it can make such a beautiful sound without any air holes on either side.
  • You: That's what drew me to it at the bazaar...
  • I pause when I spot several gorgeous dolphins right in front of the boat.
  • They jump out of the sea, arching through the air near the ship's bow.
  • You: What's going on, Sinbad?
  • Sinbad: I don't know. Come on, let's take a closer look!
  • He approaches the bow to get a better view. The conch, still in his hand, sounds even louder than before.
  • Crewmate A: It's not just the dolphins. A school of fish is following us from the stern. What's going on?
  • Crewmate B: This is the first time I've seen anything like this. Hey, look, there's a rainbow!
  • I look where he's pointing. There is a rainbow spanning the sky, as captivating as a mirage.
  • First Mate: Captain, our crows are flying out!
  • First Mate: They're not flying towards anything marked on the map! It's something no one has discovered!
  • Sinbad: Our good luck is here! Steer in that direction. Full speed ahead!
  • First Mate: Everyone back to your posts! We're following the crows!
  • The sailors run back to their positions as I stand on deck and watch the crows leading the way.
  • The ship sails at full speed, and the sea wind messes up my hair. I stand straighter and squint into the distance. I think I spy a corner of the island.
  • You: That's...
  • The joy of finding land in the vast ocean makes me forget the rumors I heard, and I cheer along with the sailors.
  • Something vibrates inside my sack.
  • You: (Light? Does he want to say something to me?)
  • You: (No one will notice if I return to my cabin right now.)

  • Back in my room, I quietly shut the door and summon Light.
  • Light: Why is there so much noise outside? What's going on?
  • You: Light, I think we've found the island!
  • Suppressing my excitement, I tell him everything.
  • Light: Why does it all sound... like a fairy tale?
  • You: Doesn't it? It was such a beautiful scene. I wish you could've seen it too.
  • Light: Stop being so sentimental. Your Almighty Genie doesn't care about things like dolphins and rainbows.
  • As he says this, he peeks out through the porthole.
  • You: (He never says what he means...)
  • Light: Sheesh!
  • You: Why are you hiding in the magic lamp again?
  • Light: Shh! Don't talk, someone's coming.
  • There is a knock on the door.
  • Crewmate A: Miss Gina, who are you talking to?
  • You: No one, I'm talking to myself! Uh, what can I do for you?
  • Crewmate A: Thanks to the crows and dolphins who led the way, we are now safely anchored on the island.
  • Crewmate A: The captain couldn't find you, so he asked me to come check on you.
  • You: I'm sorry for making everyone worry. I got my clothes dirty, so I came back to my room.
  • You: So, we are ready to step onto the island?
  • Crewmate A: Yes! The First Mate is taking everyone to the island, so you should join us.
  • You: I'll be right there!

  • I change into light clothes and hurriedly disembark.
  • The fine white sand under my feet feels completely different from the quicksand of the Full Moon Kingdom.
  • Crewmate B: Over here, Miss Gina! The captain has taken a team inland. I'll bring you to them.
  • You: Thank you for being my tour guide.
  • You: Why are Sinbad and the others so eager? Is there something special inland?
  • Crewmate B: Oh, Miss Gina, you weren't on deck at the time, were you?
  • Crewmate B: As we approached the island, the dolphins scattered and a large wave lifted up our ship.
  • Crewmate B: At the height of the wave, both the captain and the First Mate saw what appeared to be a large building inland...
  • You: Building? You mean there are people on the island?
  • Crewmate B: I'm not sure. We made quite a lot of noise when we moored the ship...
  • Crewmate B: If the island is inhabited, surely the residents would become curious about what's going on? But we didn't see a soul on the beach.
  • You: Oh... well, we'd better meet up with everyone.

  • We leave the beach and enter the jungle. At first, the path is very difficult to walk on, with gravel and tree roots underfoot.
  • However, the obstacles gradually diminish in number and the path gets flatter as we move further inland.

  • You: Oh my...
  • The crewman leads the way and I push away the last of the palm leaves as we arrive at the meeting point.
  • Sinbad appears before me with a ruddy face, but I am stunned by the surroundings.
  • Sinbad: Haha, it's as prosperous as the Full Moon Kingdom, isn't it?
  • I look around in awe at the glittering gold and bejeweled pottery laid out on the floor. There are swaths of silk piled up like a mountain.
  • There is fruit, tea, and even cooked food... This is clearly akin to a small marketplace.
  • Sinbad: Gina, come look at this.
  • Sinbad holds up an ordinary-looking teapot. Steam is coming out of the spout.
  • You: What's that?
  • Sinbad: A teapot that provides an endless supply of tea!
  • You: Is that even possible? Sinbad, I don't understand...
  • First Mate: Captain, allow me to demonstrate for Miss Gina.
  • The First Mate takes the teapot and tilts it. Tea gushes out of the spout and pours continuously on the ground.
  • You: What are you doing wasting tea like that?!
  • First Mate: Miss Gina, just wait and watch.
  • The stream of tea gets smaller and smaller until there seems to be nothing left in the teapot.
  • The First Mate pauses mysteriously, and then hands the teapot to me.
  • First Mate: Take it, Miss Gina.
  • You: All right... Huh?
  • The weight of the teapot surprises me, and I nearly drop it.
  • I shake it carefully, and hear tea sloshing around inside.
  • Sinbad: I thought the rumors meant that the island is just rich in resources because it hasn't been exploited yet.
  • Sinbad: I never expected to find anything like this! A teapot that refills itself, fruits that grow constantly...
  • Sinbad: This island is a treasure trove.
  • You: But this teapot, the buildings and everything else here... They can't possibly be natural.
  • You: They must have been made by skilled craftsmen.
  • Sinbad: If these magical items have an owner, I plan to buy some. The Full Moon Kingdom would be amazed!
  • Sinbad: However, we've made it all the way here without seeing anyone.
  • You: (That's true. We didn't see any signs of inhabitants on the way here.)
  • Sinbad: There must be a secret at the center of all this...
  • Sinbad: Men, get your gear! Let's go deeper inland!
  • Crew: Yes, Captain!
  • You: Sinbad, are we really going to go further inland?
  • Sinbad: Of course. You know it's not my style to stop for anything.
  • Sinbad: Now that we're here, let's enjoy the adventure!
  • You: I mean, it's almost evening. Everything will still be here tomorrow.
  • You: It's hard to move around at night. It must be even darker in the deeper parts of the island. What if we encounter wild animals?
  • Sinbad: That... is a good point.
  • Sinbad: Well, I promise you that we will be back before nightfall.
  • Sinbad: And I'll also have some of my men set up camp out here. Gina, you can stay here if you like.
  • You: We're staying overnight on the island?
  • First Mate: Haha, we're going to hold a party to celebrate, Miss Gina. It's a tradition of ours.
  • Sinbad: Yes, and we found a luxurious mansion earlier on.
  • Sinbad: The dining table is covered in delicacies, and the kitchen is full of wine.
  • Sinbad: It might not be like my banquets at the Full Moon Kingdom, but I'm happy to have you here to drink with me.
  • You: Sin-Sinbad, before we set sail, I heard a rumor at the bazaar...
  • Sinbad: Alright, Gina. Just relax and enjoy the adventure!
  • You: Sinbad!
