  • I search the galley for food that I can take to the banquet.
  • ???: Who's there?
  • The stern voice is coming from behind me. I hastily hide my sack full of food, and get up to see who's here.
  • Chef: Oh, Miss Gina, it's you.
  • Chef: I heard something, so I was wondering if a beast from the island had found its way into the galley. You scared me half to death!
  • You: Sorry, Cook. Why are you back here?
  • Chef: They're holding the celebratory banquet soon, so I came back to get some tools.
  • Chef: My assistant is the one who needs them. Oh, and by the way...
  • Chef: The captain has returned with his team. He's been looking for you all over the place!
  • You: Sinbad and the First Mate are back?
  • Chef: Yes, and I think they've made some new discoveries that they're going to announce at the banquet.
  • Chef: We shouldn't linger here. Let's go!

  • The cook and I get off the ship and quickly make our way to the banquet location.
  • I've already witnessed the grandeur of the architecture here, but I'm still impressed by the island mansion.
  • You: It's just as luxurious as Sinbad's mansion.
  • Sinbad: Gina, where did you go?
  • You: Sorry, Sinbad. I was a little tired, so I went back to the ship to rest.
  • Sinbad: Haha, I guess you're still adjusting to your first voyage.
  • Sinbad: It's all right, Gina. You're already doing much better than some youngsters I've seen.
  • Sinbad: Find yourself a seat. The banquet is about to begin!
  • The food-laden table is an exciting sight, but I remember Light's advice and look for a seat in a quiet corner.
  • You: (I have to keep my head down during the banquet...)
  • Sinbad walks to the center of the hall and clears his throat, tapping the wine glass in his hand.
  • The room goes quiet.
  • Sinbad: I'm going to say a few things before we kick off the celebration.
  • Sinbad: First of all, I would like to thank all of you for the hard work you've done to get the ship here safely.
  • Sinbad: Second, I would like to thank this uninhabited island for providing us with shelter tonight.
  • Sinbad: Now, let us enjoy ourselves! Cheers!
  • Crew: Cheers!
  • A few drinks later, everyone's faces are flushed.
  • Sinbad staggers to his feet and starts talking about his past adventures at sea.
  • I've heard these stories countless times at his mansion before.
  • But tonight, I'm seated among those who have experienced these adventures first hand. That makes this a brand new experience for me.
  • You: (After three rounds of drinks, everyone looks rather drunk...)
  • Crewmate A: I honestly didn't expect to find this legendary island...
  • Crewmate B: The time I spend here will be the most memorable moments of my life...
  • You: I can't wait to tell my friends about this expedition when I get back to the Full Moon Kingdom.
  • Sinbad: That's all for my tale... And now, what you've all been waiting for.
  • Sinbad: Would you like to know what the First Mate and I found on the island today?
  • Crew: Treasure! Treasure!
  • First Mate: Good guess, everyone! The captain led us all the way through the wilderness this evening.
  • First Mate: After just a few miles, we found an eye-catching cave.
  • You: Cave? Did you go in?
  • Crewmate A: My, this really is Miss Gina's first time sailing with our captain...
  • Crewmate A: The captain isn't the type to leave us here on the mainland and go off exploring by himself.
  • Sinbad: We lit the path to the cave's entrance with torches and looked inside the cave.
  • Sinbad: The cave's smooth walls reflected rippling water, and we could see glittering gold light shining forth!
  • Sinbad: This cave must contain all the treasures of the island.
  • Crew: Treasure! Treasure!
  • Sinbad: We shall eat well tonight and drink our fill. Then we'll be ready for tomorrow's adventure!
  • Sinbad: Let's toast to an exciting day ahead!
  • Sinbad's speech boosts the jovial mood even further. The crowd starts singing sailing songs in the noisy hall.
  • A few drunken crew members bring me a cup and ask me to drink with them. I manage to muddle through with the water I'd brought with me.
  • In the process, I accidentally get my clothes wet.
  • You: (It's a terrible feeling to look at all this delicious food and not eat it.)
  • You: (I should take this chance to go back to the ship, change my clothes, and get some air!)

  • Away from the party, I make my way back to the ship alone.

  • There is a gentle night breeze. After changing my clothes, I take a short stroll in the shallows. Then I realize I've forgotten all about Light.
  • Light: You're running around all by yourself, and you didn't even summon me.
  • Light: What if something happens to you in the middle of the night?
  • You: Are you worried about me? It's okay. There is only one path leading inland from here. I won't get lost.
  • You: Besides, we've already been up and down this path several times. It's trampled flat and easy to walk on.
  • Light: Speaking of this path, don't you think it's strange?
  • You: Why do you say that?
  • Light: The central area is surrounded by jungle, and yet there is an obvious way in...
  • Light: You also mentioned that the path gets flatter and wider the further you go, which doesn't make sense.
  • Light: It feels as if the island is luring you deeper...
  • A chill runs down my spine.
  • Light: Close your mouth or you might end up swallowing sand.
  • Light: I hope I'm just overthinking things...
  • You: Light, we'd better get back before it gets too late.
  • You: I'm not sure if it's a good idea to leave Sinbad and the crew by themselves.
  • Light: You're right. Let's go.

  • We relax once we're back in the hall.
  • Some of the sailors are slumped against the walls, others are muttering to themselves as they cling to barrels of wine, and many are lying unconscious on the floor.
  • You: I'm a little worried about them catching cold, but I guess nothing serious has happened.
  • You: That's a relief.
  • Light: Hey, why don't I see the big guy?
  • You: Sinbad? Isn't he here? Maybe he went out for some air.
  • I'm instantly alert, and search the place for Sinbad. I find no sign of him.
  • You: What should I do? The First Mate and the cook are too drunk and I can't wake them up.
  • Light: We came from the shallows, and didn't see anyone on the way here. He must have ventured deeper into the island.
  • Light: That's not good! We have to go check it out, Gina.

  • We run into the jungle. After a while, we start hearing an intermittent sound.
  • The deeper we go, the louder the sound gets. Eventually, we discover Sinbad staggering away in the distance.
  • You: Sinbad, is that you?
  • I shout in Sinbad's direction, but he doesn't respond.
  • Light and I look at one another. We don't dare to stop. Then we hear the sound again.

Find the source of the sound

  • You: Light, did you hear that? What was that voice?
  • Light: I can't tell, but someone must be playing tricks on us.
  • Light: I'll fly up and try to discern where the sound is coming from. You follow the big guy.
  • Light: If you're in danger, shout my name. I won't be far.
  • You: Alright.
  • Light goes after the ghostly voice while I trail after Sinbad.
  • After walking for a long time, he finally stops in front of a cave. Light has traced the ghostly sound to the cave as well.

Keep up with Sinbad

  • You: Sinbad? Sinbad!
  • He doesn't respond to me, so I have no choice but to keep following him.
  • Light: Has he ever run around on his own after getting drunk?
  • You: I don't think so...
  • Light: That's strange. He looks like he's in a trance.
  • You: It might be dangerous to wake him up. Let's keep following him and see where he goes, alright?
  • Light: Good idea. Let's go. Remember to watch your step.
  • We follow Sinbad closely. After a long while, the entrance to a cave looms before us.
  • You: Is this the cave Sinbad mentioned during the banquet?
  • You: But Sinbad wouldn't have come by himself because he has promised to bring everyone here in the morning.
  • Sinbad continues stumbling forward. Light and I exchange looks, and continue following him.
  • The entrance to the cave is dimly lit. I grope my way forwards while holding onto the rock wall and listening for Sinbad's footsteps.
  • We continue like this for a while before I'm blinded by a sudden burst of light...
