This is the first time I've written a letter to anyone, and I'm not sure how to begin. Are you doing alright in Moscow? Has the training been going smoothly? If you run into any problems, please tell me how I can help.
Quite a number of tourists have shown up in town lately, and the inn's rooms are full every day. I'm spending quite a lot of time helping out at home. It's kinda tiring, but I'm energized whenever I look at the smile on Mother's face. I really hope these happy days won't end.
Oh yes, I almost forgot to say that I've registered for a short-track speed skating contest in Moscow! If nothing goes wrong, we may meet again soon. I heard there'll be many well-known speed skaters taking part in that competition. Do you realize how excited I am, Alina? These people are my heroes, and now I'm going to compete against them! I can't wait to get to Moscow.
I have so many things to say to you. I wish that day would come sooner. I'm looking forward to the competition, and to seeing you again.

Dear Alina
I've been thinking about whether I should write you a letter or not, but I finally decided to do it. When you got drunk on Meslenitsa, you spoke a lot about your mother. It was my first time seeing you so upset, because you\re usually positive. It made me want to give you a big hug.
You said your mother hasn't contacted you for a long time now. Maybe she's just busy, and she trusts in your ability to look after yourself. She probably believes you can get through this even without her help.
I'm not trying to make excuses for her, Alina. I want you to know that you're wonderful. I know it, so your mother must know it too. Perhaps Shaykh is as talented as you say, but you can beat her too. If you really miss your mother, why don't you call her? Or you can come to my house. My mom already treats you like a second daughter. Anyway, I will always be here for you. Remember, you are not alone.

Dear Alina, congratulations on winning the national competition! I saw your performance on television. You were amazing! You were just like a soldier, resolutely heading towards your goal. How I wish I could hug you right now! Congratulations on making your dream come true!
I believed you could do it, the moment I knew you wanted to be champion. Looks like I can finally take out that bottle of wine I ordered from Mr. Lyonya back then. His wine's the best in all of Grassia. I didn't think you'd have the time to make a trip back here right now, so I've sent the wine over to Moscow. Just take it as a celebratory gift. I know you'll love it.
Time really flies, huh? It's been ages since you left town. The days we spent training together on the ice feel just like yesterday. I can't believe we've started on our individual journeys now.
Remember when you asked me how the inn was doing? To tell you the truth, I was really flustered and lost in the beginning. We had no customers for a long time. Luckily, I managed to get the hang of operating an inn, and things are looking better now. Oh, right, I've kept the room you stayed in just like it was. - Nastia is about 162cm tall in height.
- Nastia owns a golden retriever.
- According to the author, prior to Nastia's creation, there was a psychologist character who was meant to help Alina through her troubles. However, his role was later "replaced" by Nastia, who "heals" Alina through her kindness, and plays the role of a close trusted friend instead throughout the final story.
