Since the Ice Wyvern hit the iceberg, we've been buffeted by a slew of ominous happenings, and you seem dispirited. I don't think you should shoulder all the blame for this accident. It was probably faulty equipment that affected your decision-making, so don't beat yourself up over it.

You're an experienced and professional navigator. There's no doubt about that, but accidents are part and parcel of voyages. Perhaps this is the true spirit of voyages - the discovery of the unknown.

I saw you take a compass from one of the coffins we fished out from the ocean. I admire your courage, but this is incredibly dangerous. Thank heavens you're alright. What do you think about that compass?

The captain decided to put it back where it came, and hand it over to the researchers when we go on shore. I wonder where that mysterious compass hails from, but it seems I'm not meant to uncover its secrets.

It's been a week since we parted ways at the hospital. How are you? I keep thinking of the time we spent sailing. It almost feels like an echo of a past life or a faraway dream, but I cannot forget the danger we were in.
