Right after breakfast, I received news from a servant that someone is asking to see me.

  • You: (See me? At this time?)

I looked at the clock suspiciously, but I had down to meet the guest on the same. A skinny man huddles Beneath a tree. He looks anxious.

  • You: (He seems familiar. Maybe he is the servant to tagged along the Julius' governess?)
  • You: Are you... Peter?

I call out his name. He jumps, then bows. There is something strange about how he moves.

  • Peter: Lady Romy, good, good day.

He stutters as he greets me, then presents a letter.

  • You: Who asked you to send me this letter?
  • Peter: My master asked me to.

Peter watches as I receive the letter. Without waiting for me to say anything else, he bows awkwardly again and then rushes off.

  • You: (What an odd man.)

I return to my room and tear the envelope open.

Dear Lady Romy:

You are cordially invited to the Capulet garden.

I look forward to seeing you.

I examine the letter. There is no signature, only simple line map at the bottom of it.

  • You: (Is this what Julius means when he says we will meet again? Something seems off though.)

Apart from the masquerade, even if I have an official invitation, I need to be extremely vigilant when it comes to entering their family's territory.

  • You: (Also, this meeting seems a little Shady. I should discuss it with Laurence first.)

Remembering what Laurence said, I fold the letter back to its original state. At tidy myself up before heading off to the church. The way to church is more crowded than usual. The morning service must have just ended. I've just turned at a familiar corner when someone taps me on the shoulder.

  • Bellona: Romy, what a coincidence! Are you going to the church?
  • You: Good morning, are you headed there too?
  • Bellona: You're early. Are you going to see Laurence?
That's right.
  • You: That's right.
  • Bellona: You too have a great relationship.

I stared blankly for a moment before realizing what Bellona is referring to.

  • You: Don't tease me, it's not like that at all.
  • Bellona: If not, then what is it?

This conversation makes me ridiculously shy. I try to steer the topic back to Bellona. (Move to You: Why you going to the church again? …)

I have something to discuss with him.
  • You: I have something to discuss with him.
  • Bellona: Oh, I see. I thought wrong then.
  • You: About what?
  • Bellona: It's nothing. It must be tough on Laurence. How long will it be when you finally realize...

Something about Bellona's smile unnerves me. I decide to skirt around the topic.

  • You: Why you going to the church again?
  • Bellona: Oh, I am still busy with the Bazaar.

Bellona turns serious when she mentions the Bazaar. She looks troubled.

  • Bellona: I have no idea how Laurence manages to keep up with so many things in such an ordinary manner. I am only responsible for less than half the things he has, and I am already a bumbling mess.
  • You: It's been tough for you.

I pat her shoulders, comforting her. She loops her arm with mine.

  • Bellona: Since we are both headed to the church, let's go together. I can tell you what I have been up to lately.

Most of the folks who came for the morning prayers have already left when we arrived at the church. Only the clergyman are still around. Seeing as Lawrence is speaking to a priest, I pull Bellona to the side to wait.

  • You: Let's wait for him to finish.
  • Bellona: I have nothing to discuss with him. I'll go ahead while you wait.
  • You: Bellona!

Coincidentally, Laurence turns his head and locks eyes with me. Embarrassed, I wave and gesture for him to continue his work. He gives me another look before coming over, cutting shot his exchange with the priest.

  • Laurence: What's wrong?
  • You: I have something to discuss with you. I just happened to bump in Bellona.

He has obviously jump to conclusions about why Bellona and I came to look for him. He relaxes a little after listening to my explanation.

  • You: We are not in a rush. You are busy, right?
  • Laurence: I am sorry, I have some things to sort out.
  • You: There is nothing to apologize for. You go ahead.

Laurence nods at me and Bellona before leaving with the monk. I didn't manage to discuss anything with Laurence in the morning. Bellona and I stroll down a quiet Street after leaving the church. There are innumerable Statues Of biblical nature by the road. We appreciate the majestic figures while discussing arrangement for later.

  • You: Looks like Laurence will be busy for a while.
  • Bellona: That's alright, I am in no rush. Oh, uncle's home is just on the next Street. Let's visit him and ask for a bowl of ice.
  • You: Ice?
  • Bellona: The dessert chef from Florence and they make the best Cherry Ice!
  • You: (I am really curious about the Cherry Ice. Maybe I'll give it a try.)

Lost in my thoughts, I accidentally bumped into someone.

  • You: Oh! I am so sorry, are you hurt?

The person I bumped into is a tall man wearing a long robe. The street is narrow but there is only three of us. How strange that he managed to bump into us.

  • You: Sir?

The man is covered from head to toe. I can't see his face clearly as he is wearing a hood too. A feeling of dread grows with his silence. Subconsciously, I push Bellona behind me to Shield her.

  • You: (Let's put some distance between us as and that man...)

The man pulls a dagger from his robes and charges towards me.

  • You: Ahh!

I am caught off guard by the sudden attack. I shoved Bellona aside. The Blade skims pass my abdomen, splitting my dress.

  • You: Bellona! Run---

Pain shoots up my arm as a head the ground. The man holds me down and raises his dagger.

  • Bellona: St-

Blood splatters the ground, but it's not my blood.

  • Bellona: Oh...

The dagger that that was meant for my chest has slit Bellona's neck instead. She tried to knock the man over, but...

  • You: Bellona...no! Bellona.

I press my hands against her wood and her plate covers my arms, my dress and my world. The murderer, seeing that he didn't get me, tries to come at me again for a kill.

  • Laurence: Stop!

Amidst the bloody Blur, a vivid black figure rushes in.

  • You: Laurence

Lawrence uses his sword to knock the dagger out of the murderer's hand. Without a weapon, the murderer can only dodge. The sword brushes the top of his head, ripping his hood apart.

  • Tybalt: Hmph!
  • Laurence: Tybalt! It's really you!
  • You: You murderer.

The guards that a stationed near the church rushed to the scene, blocking off the ends of the street. Tybalt didn't even take one look at them. He is unbelievably calm.

  • Laurence: Don't even think about escaping.
  • Tybalt: ...Well then

He charges head first into a marble statue.

  • You: Ah!!

Tybalt's lifeless body slides down the statue. The blood left in the marble is in shape of a sickening flower. Finally, his body Falls across the statue's feet, and freezes in a praying position.
