Even though Seo Eun-joo is a detective, she's often assigned tasks like making tea and coffee. It is said that no one dares to drink the beverages she brings, as her resentful glare makes the recipient question whether the drink has been tampered with. Even so, Seo Eun-joo has a good reputation at the police station. Most people recognize her as an upright, hardwork, meticulous, and fierce-eyed police officer.

Seo Eun-joo is an On the Run Companion.

01: Seok-hyeong's Spicy Rice Cake
Unlock conditions: Clear On the Run: 1-4 Thrilling Escape
Work description: Organizing closed case files.
Progress: 15%. Slower than yesterday. I still have some questions about certain files.
  • Seo Eun-joo: That despicable Han Jung-min! I will never be defeated by these files!
Daily life at the police station:
In the afternoon, Seok-hyeong asked me to have dinner at the convenience store. As soon as he took out a package of stir-fried rice cakes, I knew he wanted to ask about Kang Yi-sun.

  • Joo Seok-hyeong: "So, Eun-joo, do you actually believe what that murderer said?"
  • Seo Eun-joo: Miss Kang is a suspect, not a murderer. We haven't found any conclusive evidence to determine that she is the murderer.
  • Seok-hyeong's words make me uncomfortable.
  • Joo Seok-hyeong: Why? Just because she casually speculated about some suspicious details about that case that involved a car accident?

Kang Yi-sun's reasoning is logical and well-founded, but this case is full of loopholes.
Additionally, there are many details that don't add up, such as: why would she have killed Lee Tae-uk? Why did she lie next to the body all night? Why didn't she take advantage of the darkness to escape?
  • Seo Eun-joo: Yeah, that's what I should have said to Seok-hyeong at the time.
  • Seo Eun-joo: Unfortunately, just as I was about to speak, my words got stuck in my throat along with a mouthful of rice cakes. Before I could say anything, Officer Han called Seok-hyeong back.
Kang Yi-sun, I hope you won't disappoint me.
As for me, I've got to keep going, and show those jerks that they can't underestimate me!

02: Station Urgencies
Unlock conditions: Clear On the Run: 1-19 Seon-ing's PIN Number
Work description: Vacation
Investigation progress:
1. Confirm the relationship between Jang Seon-ing and Lee Tae-uk. Lee Tae-uk's leverage may be in the hands of Jang Seon-ing's sister, Jang A-jin.
2. Kang Yi-sun is wanted (the police station did not disclose the reason why, so it must be due to pressure from higher-ups).
3. ...
  • Seo Eun-joo: Ugh, what is point 3?
  • Seo Eun-joo: From the few times I have been in contact with Kang Yi-sun, it is clear to me that she has no motive for committing the crime and is not afraid of the truth.
  • Seo Eun-joo: The suspect Kang Yi-sun stays true to herself, gazing ahead as she runs the race to clear her name. I really admire her.
  • Seo Eun-joo: And what did the police at the Central Police Station do?
  • Seo Eun-joo: The whole case is full of holes. Those idiots didn't bother investigating Lee Tae-uk's whereabouts or finding the murder weapon. They just hastily wanted to arrest a suspect!
  • Seo Eun-joo: I'm so tired of the Central Police Bureau's "three urgent actions"—to interrogate suspects, to obtain confessions, and to close cases!
  • Seo Eun-joo: If being a police officer means that every suspect who steps into the police station is guilty...
  • Seo Eun-joo: ...and if closed cases are all solved beyond a doubt, why don't they just write that on the first page of the textbook in the police academy?
  • Seo Eun-joo: The police should focus on uncovering clues and catching the real culprits, right?
  • Seo Eun-joo: And then there's that cunning Han Jung-min, who usually acts like he doesn't care about the wealthy, but in the end, he turns out to be colluding with them.

  • Han Jung-min: Why do you have so many questions? You've been here so long, and you still can't figure out who issued the wanted notice and who is conducting the on-site investigation?
  • Han Jung-min: Don't waste my time. If you have nothing to do, then leave and go back to your vacation. Go on!

  • Seo Eun-joo: If he truly has nothing to hide, why didn't he tell me the reason why Yi-sun is wanted, forbid me from getting involved in the case, and insist I leave?
  • Seo Eun-joo: Aha, point 3!
3. Han Jung-min mentioned that someone issued the wanted notice. Interrogate the police officer who was responsible.
  • Seo Eun-joo: Han Jung-min definitely didn't expect me to put in so much effort when I was only assigned to serve drinks to the male detectives.
  • Seo Eun-joo: Thanks to hanging out with them every day, I've figured out everyone's general preferences.
  • Seo Eun-joo: It'll be easy for me to get more information out of them.
Keep going, Seo Eun-joo! Even if you're serving drinks to the male detectives, do it to get justice for Yi-sun!

03: A Mother's Embrace
Unlock conditions: Clear On the Run: 2-23 Concealed Badge
Work description: Vacation
Investigation progress: Complete. Gong Hee-jin has been apprehended
Today is my first day off after being promoted, and I went to pay my respects to my mother.

  • Seo Eun-joo: I know you won't be happy that I've embarked on the same path as you.
  • Seo Eun-joo: It's okay, I'll take care of myself.
  • Seo Eun-joo: But Mom, this really isn't an easy road! How did you manage to endure being looked down upon and being sent to do menial tasks?
  • Seo Eun-joo: You have no idea how much Han Jung-min tormented me for the past few years! It would have been so much better if you were here...
  • Seo Eun-joo: Even if you didn't say anything, a hug from you would have been nice...
  • Seo Eun-joo: Do you still remember me telling you about my partner Seok-hyeong before?
  • Seo Eun-joo: When I was determined to clear Yi-sun's name, he said to me—
  • Seo Eun-joo: "Eun-joo, are you trying to protect that suspect for the sake of justice, or are you doing it to be like your mother?"
  • Seo Eun-joo: I said, "Justice."
  • Seo Eun-joo: I didn't lie, and I'm proud of my determination. This is the legacy in my blood, Mom, the most precious thing you left me.
  • Seo Eun-joo: Justice. Yes, with justice to guide me, I can continue on the path to being a detective, even without you by my side.
  • Seo Eun-joo: In fact, someone else is here for me in your stead now.

I made an unusual discovery today when I went to pay my respects to my mother. There was a flower basket in front of my mother's grave, containing not only the traditional white chrysanthemums but also several purple forget-me-nots.
This flower basket looked exactly like the one I'd previously seen in Officer Han's car. It left a deep impression on me because my mother liked the color of forget-me-nots.
Could it be... that Officer Han also came to pay his respects to my mother?
  • Seo Eun-joo: Seok-hyeong mentioned that his predecessor Han Jung-min had had a female partner, which was rare among police officers.
  • Seo Eun-joo: I used to think Han Jung-min's partner did something wrong, which was what caused him to look down on female police officers...
  • Seo Eun-joo: Maybe... Maybe I was wrong from the very beginning.
