The Ruyi Teahouse has many customers, and I can't remember most of their faces, but I remember you after just a passing encounter. I find myself in no mood to play the zither, and decided to write a letter to you instead.
It's your first time in the capital, isn't it? Are you familiar with the curfew? The drums will be beaten at dawn and at dusk to signal the start and end of curfew. You'll have to pay attention to them, as they are very strict about it in Chang'an. The only time they will let people wander after curfew is on the fifteenth of the first month. O believe this particular custom is very different from what you're used to, so please be careful.
Of course, there are many other rules and regulations, and I will gladly explain them to you the next time you visit the Ruyi Teahouse.

We became kindred spirits the moment we met, like Boya and Ziqi. I've been alone the past few years, playing my zither for the moonlit sky, until I met you. When I'm with you, I reminisce about the time I had another kindred spirit like you. Alas, the heavens are jealous of the talented and they passed away at a young age.
Nevertheless, I'm thankful for your company. It's not as lonely with you around, though it can be hard to suppress my feelings when I remember that person.

Ah Jin
You are an intelligent and perceptive person, Ah Jin. Given how close we've become, I guess you already know my secret. It was not my intention to keep it from you. It's hard to talk about it, especially since I've kept it a secret for so long. I also missed the opportunity to tell you when I finally decided to speak up.
I already knew how dangerous it would be when we first met. Colluding with the big demon is an impossible task, after all. However, I met you by chance once again, and I saw you giving your all for a stranger. You are so kind and innocent, always helping others in need. I worried you would overwork yourself if you knew of my past with Huai. I couldn't risk endangering you by involving you in our matters.
However, nothing can stay unchanged forever. You ended up getting involved anyway. And though Huai was saved, Jiang Zhen got implicated in our matters.
