When you read this letter, please forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye. I can't bear to wake you up from your beautiful dream. All I can do is to leave behind this letter and a handful of freshly-picked tea leaves. A few days ago, when you were busy treating patients, I slipped over to a tea plantation in Qingzhiwu. Though the tea leaves aren't as famous as West Lake's Longjing, the resulting brew should taste sweet and help you get rid of the fatigue.
During my trip, I sensed some threats lurking about the forest sanctuary. But I reckoned they are just some demons causing mischief. Of course, you don't need to trouble yourself because I have already gotten rid of them for you, my dearest sister.
I've left a bamboo hairpin for you in front of my dressing table. Although it's not valuable or magical, the beads on it will inform me when they sense an evil presence, and I will fly back to your side right away.
It is already midnight as I write, and I'll be gone for a while. I heard a new opera is coming up, so let's watch it when I return, okay?
